Types of Lab Glassware

Borosilicate glass can withstand severe temperature changes without breaking. It also has a high resistance to chemicals. Although slightly more expensive than flint glass, it is the better choice for lab beakers, flasks, and other lab glassware.

Flint glass is a soda-lime glass used when heat and shock resistance or chemical durability are not a major concern. Flint glass is most often used in glass tubing.
